Mythology
The Swan, often identified with Zeus who disguised himself as a swan to seduce Leda, or with Orpheus transformed into a swan and placed next to his lyre in the sky.
Observing Highlights
Deneb marks the tail of the swan and is part of the Summer Triangle. Rich Milky Way field with the North America Nebula (NGC 7000), Veil Nebula, and Albireo — one of the finest double stars with striking gold-blue color contrast.
