Mythology
The Dolphin, placed in the sky by Poseidon in gratitude for helping him find and woo the sea nymph Amphitrite. Also associated with the rescue of the poet Arion.
Observing Highlights
A small but distinctive diamond-shaped constellation. Contains the globular cluster NGC 6934 and NGC 7006. Best seen in late summer.
