Mythology
The Southern Fish, one of the original Ptolemaic constellations. It is said to be the parent of the two fish of Pisces, drinking water poured by Aquarius.
Observing Highlights
Dominated by Fomalhaut, one of the brightest stars in the sky. Fomalhaut has a famous debris disk and was one of the first stars with a directly imaged exoplanet candidate.
