Mythology
One of the original Ptolemaic constellations, its triangular shape was associated with the Nile Delta or the island of Sicily (Trinacria).
Observing Highlights
Contains the Triangulum Galaxy (M33), the third-largest galaxy in the Local Group and one of the most distant objects visible to the naked eye under ideal conditions.
