Über Alnasl
Beschreibung
Alnasl (also spelled Nushaba) is an orangefarbener Riese of Spektraltyp K1III at magnitude 2.99 im Schützen. Located about 96 Lichtjahre von der Erde entfernt, it has a Leuchtkraft von ungefähr 100 -mal so leuchtkräftig wie die Sonne. Alnasl marks the tip of the arrow in the Archer's bow and lies near the direction of the galaktisches Zentrum, making its field rich with background stars.
Beobachtungstipps
Alnasl sits at the tip of the arrow/spout of the Sagittarius Teapot Asterismus. It is a good starting point for finding the rich star clouds, nebulae, and clusters near the galaktisches Zentrum. Its warm orange color provides a nice contrast to the blau-weißer Stern clouds behind it. Am besten von June bis September when Sagittarius is am Abendhimmel.
Geschichte
Der Name Alnasl kommt vom Arabischen 'al-nasl,' und bedeutet 'the arrowhead' or 'the point,' describing its position at the tip of the Archer's arrow. In the popular Teapot Asterismus, Alnasl marks the tip of the spout from which the Milchstraße appears to pour like steam.
Wissenswertes
When you look at Alnasl, you are looking almost directly toward the center of our Milchstraße galaxy, which lies just a few degrees away in the dense star clouds of Sagittarius. The 'steam' rising from the Teapot's spout is actually the dense star clouds of the Milchstraße's central bulge.
