Klarer Hamburger Gartenhimmel mit guter Transparenz, aber mäßigem Seeing – trotzdem ein produktiver Abend mit 14 Objekten in knapp anderthalb Stunden. Das Doppel-Refraktor-Rig mit Williams 66 und Vixen ED 103 bewährte sich, Star Hopping geht damit flüssig und teils erstaunlich schnell. Highlight war das Leo Triplet als Abschluss, wobei M66, M65 gelangen, NGC 3628 aber im Hamburger Himmel verschwand.

Window astronomy for the lazy.
Quick session from the Hamburg office window on a cold, humid night, using a C5 on an old Vixen alt-az mounted on the sill — constrained view but workable after the room cooled down. Highlights were M13 and M92 in Hercules, a handful of doubles including Nu Dra and Rho Her, and a satisfying split of the Double Double in Lyra after a fresh collimation that made the effort worthwhile. Seeing started badly but finished strong, which salvaged what started as a lazy, low-commitment night.

Wolken. Mond. Jupiter. Tests.
Short grab-and-go session under heavily overcast skies, limited to four targets caught through brief cloud gaps: Jupiter, the Moon at first quarter, Regulus, and Capella. The Moon showed strong contrast along the terminator, and Regulus displayed its blue-white color clearly alongside its 8th-magnitude companion. The gyroscope mode on the star chart proved useful for identifying targets quickly between clouds, and a color comparison between Regulus and Capella was the small observational reward of the evening.

Quick grab and go in the garden.
Clouds and lights, but some nice double stars, Uranus and Jupiter. I came with a long plan about fainter open clusters that did not survive the reality of the sky conditions. New neighbours with a huge TV and a very tiny dog. The mini-dog heard me in the garden and barked high-pitch for 20 mins until the neighbours wondered why the ruccus. No problem for me, but this is my territory, sorry.
