Mythologie

Nommée d'après la princesse Andromède de la mythologie grecque, enchaînée à un rocher en sacrifice au monstre marin Cetus. Elle fut sauvée par le héros Persée, qui pétrifia le monstre à l'aide de la tête de Méduse.

Points Forts de l'Observation

Abrite la célèbre galaxie d'Andromède (M31), la grande galaxie la plus proche de la Voie lactée, visible à l'œil nu. Contient également l'amas ouvert NGC 752 et la nébuleuse planétaire NGC 7662 (Boule de neige bleue).
