Apollo
Mission goal: ride the Saturn V off the pad — countdown, staging and the pitch program into Earth parking orbit, then the full mission.
Part 0 — Five F-1 engines light under you at LC-39A, on your mission's real launch date and time (Apollo 17 goes at night). Countdown, tower clear, max-Q, two stagings, then Earth parking orbit: coast as long as you like before going for TLI.
The guidance computer flies the eight-minute braking burn from 450 km out, exactly like the flown missions — throttle recovery, pitch-over, the approach glide. At low gate (150 m) it calls "you have control" and you land it by hand, like Armstrong. Ranked on its own leaderboard.
Hand-fly the S-IC's pitch program at real speed: hold the guidance needle centered from the tilt kick to staging. Stray too far and range safety calls an abort; hold a bad angle through max-Q and the stack breaks up — the escape tower is your way out. A clean insertion plus a precise TLI cutoff is scored 0–1000 and ranked on the global launch leaderboard; a sloppy launch also makes your landing start a little harder.
One continuous run, launch to splashdown, every phase scored out of 1000. Hand-flown ascent and real PDI are required; any autopilot, assist or skip zeroes that phase — the mission continues either way. Global leaderboard.
